This weekend was quite the weekend. Not only did I go see some wicked cars with a dear friend of mine, but also I was at the Renaissance fair in Irwindale. I went with some friends of mine and yeah I dressed up as a pirate of awesomeness (also I saw Pirates of the Carribean the night before). For those who don't know the Renaissance fair its a time when you can experience what it was like way back when. Before TV's, cell phones, twitter, and everything electronic. Yeah I know it sounds like a living hell to some people but its actually pretty fun to go see at least once. Also its fun to watch people dress up and walk around like this...
Yeah I was surrounded by them on saturday. Some girls however were dressed in a way that would make a young man either jump up with joy or run away with their eyes on fire. Not only was the fair on saturday, but saturday was also the day of the supposed Rapture/ Judgement Day. The day that was predicted by some wack job who has way too much time on his hands. The guy's name is Harold Camping, a guy so old he probably sat in front of Jesus in the first grade. He said that Judgement Day was saturday and those left behind would suffer a fate worse than death for 5 months then on October 21 the whole world goes KABLOOIE! I'm a Christian, I really am, and I freaking HATE it when people say I'm going to die and not go to Heaven because I "don't worship as I should" or something along those lines. I believe that Jesus will come some day, but not for a really, really, REALLY long time. What was funny though was that the prophets of doom had signs saying the end was near and crossing it out and saying, "Nevermind" after 6. Also I was really looking forward to meeting Raptor Jesus.
Monday was a good day cause a buddy of mine scored free tickets to see Foster the People at the Jimmy Kimmel stage right behind the El Capitan theatre in Hollywood. The best part was that instead of playing just one song, they played about 5 of them from their debut album. First song they played was, of course, Pumped Up Kicks, then soon they played Houdini and the whole crowd lost their minds which was totally awesome and made my day. So yeah, Foster the People, totally awesome. Here is teh music video for Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy.
