Murray is Guilty... CAN WE PLEASE MOVE ON NOW!?

OK, I will admit it, I am not the world's biggest Michael Jackson fan but I like some of his songs.  Not enough however to stand outside of a court house in LA and scream out that a doctor is a murderer.  I'm writing this post in South Carolina to see my brother graduate from Boot Camp and even all the way out here the verdict was breaking news.  I was really hoping that this would die down a bit but nope, and I get the sneaking feeling that this verdict is going to drag on for weeks on end.  My personal opinion is that why should there be so much hype anyways?  I guess its different for a die hard fan who lived and breathed MJ music, but I didn't so I don't see the big deal.  Was I sad that a music icon died, yeah I was a little bummed, yet people die, even when John Lennon's killer was convicted there was no one outside a court house waving signs saying that Chapman needs to get straight to jail.  And to be honest John Lennon was and will always be a bigger musical icon than Michael Jackson (sorry MJ fans).  So yeah, Murray was convicted of involuntary man slaughter, I say we honor Michael's memory by looking back at his life and playing his music, not putting the spot light on his "killer".
